How does it make you feel? Does it make you curious?
   This mysterious world of black leather and chains and bondage where I reside?
    Why do people do it?

It seems like very strange behavior, from what we consider 'norm' of hobbies, pleasurable activities. I remember as a child, tying up my barbie dolls, and torturing them, and thinking even then that it was a strange thing to be doing, and I certainly didn't let anyone know what I was up to!

Of course when you see us in the media, well, it's a little bit like airline travel used to be, isn't it?
    You never hear about the safe flights and happy landings, you only hear about when things go wrong.

When violent psychopaths pretend that their abusive activities are safe, aresane, consensual SM.

So it seems like a very scary world, doesn't it? The whole black leather scene?
    But it really isn't, it can be, intensely beautiful, and possibly, although it often has no traditional sexual acts, more intensely intimate than intercourse often attains.

These Games are based on Trust.

Most people that I talk to when I tell them that I'm a Dominatrix, express a great deal of curiosity.
   Many people ask me: "Why?"

It's funny, but we can only really relate to things that we can recognize, within ourselves, within other people.

When I hear "Why?", I hear people trying to understand themselves!

What will you find here that you can recognize as a part of yourself?
    Do you reject all of it?

Occasionally people express disgust, but that, I find, is really uncommon.

When I encounter that reaction I know what I'm really encountering is their own resistance to recognizing that perhaps the mirror that I represent reflects a side of themselves that has been repressed, that they don't want to look at.

But the intensity of these games cannot be denied. It's quite possible, while you've been reading this, your belly's been doing this, and your heart's been doing that and your ears are turning red, you can recognize that this may have some power in your life, as well.

Do these ideas stir you? Part of you knows exactly why.

Is it really so strange? I don't think so. I mean, it's not like dominant women are so unusual. Everyone has plenty of dominant women in their life:

• Your Mother? Maybe she was a submissive woman, but I bet you did what you were told, most of the time.
• Or maybe, at some point, you worked for a lady Boss, an Executive woman.
• Or maybe that nurse, whenyou had to go get that operation. Do as you're told, if you want to get well!
• Your teachers?
• Or perhaps you belong to a matriarchal religion, and worship a female Deity? Thank Goddess!
