Subject: A Nettle Colleen?
Dear Ms. Angelique,
Your web-site is fascinating. It is well to learn that you are both
Empath and Witch. Perhaps you would answer a question -- or just think
about it enough to pass along an opinion.
What's the best natural aid for CBT and like torment?
How do you feel about the use of stinging nettles in Scening? This
wonderful plant yields us one of the most nourishing of teas: pregnant
women are instructed to drink it for iron, and one famous Yogi subsisted
upon it entirely. Nettle fibre has been used to craft both fine and
durable paper and cloth, much like hemp or flax. A large clump of nettles
keeps neighborhood boys from hanging out behind the garage :)
Stinging Nettles have another use... After reading in "The Herb Book" by
John Lust that nettles (Urtica diocia) could be rubbed and stung into the
skin as a relief to arthritis, it was no great stretch to understand
that they might safely be rubbed in certain *other* places! It didn't
take much experimentation to discover that here was something very
special. I won't go into detail now, but must add that the *trick* is
learning just how much of the stimulus to apply as the session
progresses: at first it is very stingy and painful and a very gentle
touch is plenty. But a point is reached where the leaves and stems may be
forcefully rubbed over the areas being treated and the feeling ceases to
be one of pain and one is aware instead of what feels like an energy
coursing through those parts of the body. Of course gloves must be worn
or another means used to keeing the things from stinging the fingers
(wrapping the leafstems with tape works).
Please accept the above information as an offering from a sort of "Johnny
Nettleseed". Could the stinging nettle become the Patron Plant the
Spiritual Domme? Why not. Please give this thought. Nettles are extremly
easy to establish and thrive almost anywhere. Chances are good that they
can be found in the woods and fields near you home; seeds -- or better
roots -- are easy to come by. One might even keep a few potted specimens
in the dungeon...
It would be pleasant to read your opinion on this. t. is a 44 year old
male adventurer and devotee who is saddened that Vancouver is so very far
away. Oh yes, the subject line refers to a "Nettle Colleen." Many women
with red hair are of Irish ancestry...
Sincerely, t.
***Mystress notes: I have played with CBT and nettles, and they are good nasty fun!
